Fr. Paul W. Cochran was born in Mississippi in 1960. He lived from 1962 to 1968 in Baker Oregon. From
1968 to 1979 he lived in Peru Indiana. He attended Purdue University from 1979 until 1983 graduating with
a degree in Molecular Genetics. He attended St. Meinrad Seminary from 1983 until 1988. He was awarded
a Master of Arts Degree as well as the Master of Divinity Degree from St. Meinrad. From 1988 until 1992 he
was assigned as an assistant at St. Mary in Muncie. From 1992 until 1996 he was an assistant at Our
Lady of Mount Carmel in Carmel. From 1996 until 1997 he was an assistant at St. Louis de Montfort in Fishers.
He then went to study Spanish at the Mexican American Cultural Center. From 1997 until 1999 he was an
associate at St. Joan of Arc in Kokomo. From 2000 until 2011 he was a pastor at St. Mary in Alexandria.
He was given added responsibility in 2005 when he took on an additional pastorate in Elwood. Since
2011 he has been the Pastor of Sorrowful Mother Parish in Wheatfield.
